Former spokesman of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Hon Eseme Eyibo says latest cabinet reshuffling in Akwa Ibom State is Governor Udom Emmanuel’s “response to the need to institute best practice by the recruitment of right people into right places to enhance the derivatives of democratic empowerment in the state”.
Hon Eyibo who represented Eket Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives stated this in a congratutory message he sent to three key members of the cabinet. The Commissioners are Pastor Umo Bassey Eno,
Commissioner for Lands & Water Resources; Mrs Idongesit Iboro Etiebet
Commissioner for Education
as well as Mr Uko Essien Udom, SAN who is
Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, Akwa Ibom State.
The message made available to CitizensWatch and tagged: “From my heart- A trust deserving, invested and well earned”, described the appointment as meritorious. He asked the appointees to bring their experiences and capacities previously demonstrated in their private endeavors to bear on their new offices in the overall interest of the state.
He wrote: “…This elevation eloquently testifies to the Governor’s response to the need to institute best practice by the recruitment of right people into right places to enhance the derivatives of democratic empowerment in the state.
“In congratulating you, I have derobed myself of any partisan garb and now enthroned in good conscience and fairness on account of your industry, innovativeness and reform mindedness.
By the privilege of your appointment, destiny has formed you to be a part of the history of an emerging Akwa Ibom state; that state of our collective dreams.
“Regardless of our peculiar challenges, your appointment to the State Executive Council has impacted the threshold of our inalienable socio-economic guarantees, where the prosperity of our people is inevitable and given.
“I implore you to make choices that shall enhance the promotion of our collective urges and aspirations and break the narrow prejudices of the locust of our politics. I plead that you bring to bear in this appointment your acclaimed selfless commitment, focus, and capacity which has over time been the hallmark of the success you notched in your private enterprise, to your new appointment. The expectations are high, but I trust you completely to deliver.
“Like Frantz Fanon:
“To educate the masses politically does not and cannot mean, making a political speech. What it means is to try, relentlessly and passionately, to teach the masses that everything depends on them; that if we stagnate, it is their responsibility, and that if we go forward it is due to them too, that there is no such thing as a demiurge, that there is no famous man who will take the responsibility for everything, but that the demiurge is the people themselves and the magic hands are finally only the hands of the people.”
“I am sure this message is clear; that political education means to let you understand that the responsibility of our tomorrow is on your shoulders. If we get it right, we rejoice; if we fail, we regret. You are in my prayers and thoughts today and always! Congratulations.
Brotherly in God’s clan.”
Hon Eseme Eyiboh is a member and stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State. His congratulatory message has created series of vibes as his action in recognising merit in the government, to some folks, looks strange but very instructive as to the fact that Government and opposition must not all the time lock itself in bitter struggles which diminish opportunities of jointly pushing the state forward.
Cerebral Eyibo, according to Pundits is a different breed with excellent qualities and high patriotism as demonstrated in his trending congratutory message.
