Grenade Blast  kills two children in South Sudan

December 17, 2020- At least two children at both age of 2 years have been reported death in South Sudan’s Western Bahr el Ghazal state Kuajina payam.

The incident occurred after a hand grenade exploded ,killing two on the spot.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening at 3:00 PM in Mbili boma 40 miles southwest of the state capital.

Three others at age of 5 years also sustained serious injuries and are in critical condition.

According to reliable sources in Mbili, the grenade was hugged up at the house’s roofs by the owner in his absence.

The owner identified as Deng Kang who is also a local Chief was out from home.

The children who were involved in the incident said had removed the object from the house’s roofs and started playing without their knowledges of its harmful before the boom blast.

This is not the first time for such incident in Western Bahr el Ghazal state, early this year, 21 People were injured when a soldier detonated a hand grenade in a public party at eastern bank after involved in quarrel with his girlfriend.
